Michael Petzold became President of Friends of Pendola in June 2014 and has served on the board of directors since 2013. Growing up in a family of avid campers, Michael spent most of his free time in the outdoors and attended a variety of summer camps. His passion for the outdoors brought him to Camp Pendola in 2009, where he’s held several positions for the past 6 years. Michael’s passion for the Camp Pendola Experience drives his enthusiasm to connect camp’s past with present and future. When he’s not working for Friends of Pendola, you can find him hiking, biking, climbing, and snowboarding.

Christina Fahey joined the board of directors in 2013 and was elected as Vice President in June 2014. She attended Camp Pendola once and a combination of chicken pox and homesickness made her a particularly difficult camper. However, she still has fond memories of singing Sipping Cider on the deck of the dining hall and earning a challenge hike bead with her cabin on their overnight. She returned to Pendola as a staff member 2011-2013. She is passionate about social justice and her faith which inspires her work with Friends of Pendola to ensure all children have an opportunity to attend camp and experience the outdoors.

Mary Carrillo has been involved with Camp Pendola since 1992. She was a camper from 1992-1995 and joined staff from 1999-2002 as a counselor, kitchen staff and even was head cook for one summer! Camp Pendola has been a huge blessing in her life and she continues to give back by being a member of the board. Her and her husband love helping during work weekend. She can be found helping with the kitchen and he can be found with a number of power tools in his hands! Mary is the mother of two boys (Liam, 2 and Ellis 6 months). She enjoys spending her free time with her boys and looks forward to one day sending them to Pendola.

Mary Pass recently joined the Board this summer, and has been on the More Than S'mores committee for the past couple of years. She went to several Girl Scout camps and finally attended Pendola as a Counselor, Kitchen Staff , Arts & Crafts Director, and Discovery weekend staff from 1974-77. Mary spent a career working with National and State Parks working to help visitors and students gain an understanding for preserving the treasures of God's gifts to us for enjoyment of future generations. She believes education and re-creation of the human spirit through these natural wonders helps an individual explore another path to strengthen one's faith, prayers and commitment to serving others.
